Found it in my bedroom this morning. New Mexico blue-tailed lizard or Whiptail. Not sure how she got in the house.

  1. @rockgor uh, ok, funny you would say it reminds you of western fences, when we have four of our own whiptail species. (or subspecies) Aspidoscelis hyperythra beldingi – Belding's Orange-throated Whiptail / Aspidoscelis tigris munda – California Whiptail / Aspidoscelis tigris stejnegeri – Coastal Whiptail /and Aspidoscelis tigris tigris – Great Basin Whiptail. the latter three are all subspecies of the tiger whiptail. bluebellies really look nothing alike. no offense intended.
